We are asking that the NP's take a minute to complete this DNP Project Survey

Dear Advanced Practice Registered Nurses (APRNs) of the UAPRN-GA/Augusta and the APP Council at Augusta University,
You are being invited to participate in a quality improvement project to characterize the factors within the APRN’s job and work environment most important to family nurse practitioners’ (FNPs’) work performance. The project includes a two-part questionnaire of Herzberg’s ten motivation-hygiene factors. The first portion seeks demographic information about the respondents, to include highest degree, certification, sex, age, marital status, length of employment, area of practice, and approximate annual income. The second portion of the tool is a 6-point Likert-type survey of 10 statements developed by Beaufort Longest (1974), and modified by the student investigator/author, adding an open-ended question pertaining to overall job satisfaction as well as identification of factors not already covered. It is estimated that it will take 5-10 minutes to complete the questionnaire.
Through your voluntary participation in this project, my goal is to understand areas most pertinent to the APRN’s work environment in need of improvement to ensure optimal job performance. The results of this quality improvement project will be shared with the presidents of the three affiliates (UAPRN-Georgia, UAPRN-Augusta and AU APP Council). This program has no outside funding.
This quality improvement project has been developed as part of the curriculum for the DNP program through Augusta University. The aggregate results and information gathered will be presented at the Augusta University - DNP project conference held in April 2023 at Augusta University in Augusta, GA.
There are no known risks to you if you decide to participate in these surveys, and your responses will not be identified with you personally. There is no direct benefit to you for participating in this educational project. You will not be compensated for your participation in this project. The alternative is not to participate in the project. I will not collect or share any information that identifies you with anyone outside of my quality improvement project group, which consists of myself and my faculty quality improvement project members: Dr. Pamela Cromer and Dr. Denotra Gaillard. Please do not put your name on the survey.
The data you provide will be stored on a password protected computer. The Project Director will retain the data until the quality improvement project has been presented. The Project Director will dispose of your data by file deletion. The data will not be made available to others following the completion of this quality improvement project and will not contain information that could identify you.
I hope you will take the time to complete these surveys. However, if you agree to complete the surveys, you are not required to answer all the questions or complete them. Your participation is voluntary, and there is no penalty if you do not participate.
If you have any questions or concerns about completing the surveys, about participating in this project, or to receive a summary of the project’s findings, you may contact me at fnwokocha@augusta.edu or (706) 627-9327.
If you have any questions or concerns about the “rights of subjects,” you may contact the Augusta University IRB Office at (706) 721-1483.
Sincerely,
Floribirth Nwokocha, MSN, RN, CNL
