Are you a Nurse Practitioner looking for a role in the Greater Atlanta area?

We have an immediate opening for a NP to work in a corrections setting in Cumming, GA. This is a day shift, 3 days on 3 days off followed by 4 days on 4 days off - 6am to 6pm.

Will look at NPs with a background as an FNP, ER, Urgent Care, etc. Candidate will do 80% of duties as an NP and 20% of duties as an RN.

We are seeking a dynamic, dedicated, and experienced Permanent Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join our healthcare team. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate healthcare professional to utilize their skills in a challenging and rewarding environment. As a key member of our healthcare team, the NP will play a crucial role in providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to our diverse patient population. The successful candidate will work collaboratively with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide high-quality, holistic patient care.

Responsibilities

The Permanent Nurse Practitioner will

  • Provide comprehensive clinical care to patients, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care.
  • Work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans.
  • Conduct physical examinations and interpret medical history.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Prescribe medication and non-pharmacological treatments.
  • Provide health promotion, disease prevention, and patient education services.
  • Monitor and ensure the quality of healthcare services.
  • Participate in research and continuing education activities.
  • Maintain current knowledge of healthcare trends and advancements.
  • Adhere to ethical and legal standards of nursing practice.

Qualifications

To be considered for the Permanent Nurse Practitioner position, the candidate must

  • Hold a current, unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license.
  • Be a certified Nurse Practitioner (NP) with the American Association of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) or equivalent.
  • Have a minimum of 2 years of experience as a Nurse Practitioner.
  • Possess a Master’s degree or higher in Nursing or a related field.
  • Have excellent clinical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Demonstrate a strong understanding of patient care and medical procedures.
  • Possess strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse patient population and healthcare team.
  • Have the ability to make critical decisions and work independently.
  • Have a commitment to ongoing professional development and continuous learning.
  • Demonstrate a high level of integrity, compassion, and dedication to patient care.
